Role: Consulting Lead, Circular Economy
Location: Flexible
Compensation: Commission-based, with meaningful upside.
This role does not include base salary and is designed for candidates comfortable carrying revenue responsibility.

The Firm
Circular Services Group is a sustainability and circular economy consulting firm founded by Rachel Kibbe, one of the world’s leading experts in circular economy, textiles, and sustainability policy. Rachel has spent more than a decade shaping how governments, NGOs, and global brands approach circular systems and sustainability policy, and she has advised many of the most credible institutions in the space, including The Nature Conservancy, a multi-year client with expanding work.

The firm sits at the intersection of strategy, policy, and real-world execution. Demand is strong. Inbound is steady. Our constraint is focus and bandwidth.

The Opportunity

This is not a support role. It is a senior, entrepreneurial position responsible for building, owning, and running the consulting business alongside one of the category-defining leaders in the circular economy.

Circular Services Group is already getting inbound from major institutions and companies, including active proposals with global brands. With the right operator in place, the consulting arm can scale quickly into a high-trust, retainer-driven advisory business. Think of this as building a high-trust, senior-level advisory practice in the circular economy.

You will own growth, client relationships, and delivery. You will turn inbound interest into structured engagements, develop new projects, and build the operating system that allows the firm to scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Originate, scope, and develop new consulting engagements across sustainability, circular economy, and public affairs

  • Own client relationships end-to-end, from initial conversations through delivery

  • Scope, price, and lead consulting work, including retainer-based engagements

  • Represent the firm externally through partnerships, events, and targeted relationship-building

  • Hire and manage contractors or staff as the work grows

  • Build the commercial, operational, and delivery foundations of a scalable consulting practice alongside Rachel

Who This Is For

  • 8–15+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, public affairs, sustainability, or adjacent fields, with demonstrated responsibility for originating and owning client work.

  • A strong operator who wants real ownership, not a narrow role

  • Someone excellent with people and comfortable leading senior client conversations

  • Organized, self-directed, and able to thrive amid ambiguity

  • Familiar with sustainability or circular economy, or deeply curious and fast-learning

  • Startup-minded and motivated by upside, autonomy, and long-term impact

  • Not suited for candidates seeking a traditional employment structure, guaranteed compensation, or narrowly scoped execution roles.

Compensation & Upside

  • Commission-based compensation tied directly to deal flow and project ownership

  • Meaningful upside as the consulting business grows

  • No venture pressure. No artificial growth targets. Just real work and real demand

Why This Is Special
You will work directly with one of the most respected leaders in the circular economy. You will help shape how some of the most important institutions and brands approach sustainability in the coming decade. And you will be building something real, durable, and profitable from day one.
